Nestled on 14 acres in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan, Maple Ridge Place is home to two distinct but deeply connected ministries: AFFIRM Ministries, led by Susan Hoekstra, and Freedom Farm Ministries, led by Julie Eickenroth.
While each ministry offers a unique approach to growth, healing, and transformation, both share a common heart: creating opportunities for people to experience God's presence and discover healing.
AFFIRM Ministries offers counseling for individuals and couples, workshops, THE NOTICE podcast, books, life groups, God Stories LIVE and book studies. Through these resources and relationships, we invite you into a deeper, healthier connection with God, others, and self.
Freedom Farm Ministries is a faith-based therapeutic farm offering a unique, experiential approach to healing and personal growth. Through HeartSkills Coaching within the ARCH story framework, equine-assisted experiential learning, permaculture gardening, immersion in nature, and meaningful work on the land, individuals are invited to discover new possibilities for growth, restoration, and purpose.
Together, we create opportunities for connection and community through Monday worship nights and special events, cultivating a loving, supportive spiritual environment where people can come as they are and experience the goodness of God.
Though our offerings may be different, our heart is the same: to make space for God's presence to meet us in the places where we need healing most.
